This journal is for all the random tech-ish gibbering that would otherwise wind up in my personal journal, confusing or annoying friends with no interest in the subject.
My tech background: started out with 8-bit micros as a kid -- the obvious suspects plus something slightly more obscure.
My first real computers were a cluster of Apollo Domian/OS machines and a couple of MicroVAXen. When I say "my" I mean "I got to use them" rather than "I owned them".
These days I work as a UNIX sysadmin and Sybase DBA.
